NEWS: Croatian Hub Open Days & Workshop – ABBA Project

Zadar, 11–12 September 2025

As part of the 7th International Scientific and Professional Conference “Challenges of Today”, the Croatian Hub of the ABBA – Adriatic-Ionian Sustainable Blue Economy Alliance for Upscaling SMEs project organized a two-day Open Days event and thematic workshop dedicated to strengthening the blue economy ecosystem.

The workshop, titled “Project ABBA – Croatian HUB Workshop: Addressing Challenges in the Blue Economy”, was led by Astrid Zekić and officially marked the opening of the Croatian Hub Open Days, held in parallel with the conference.

The event provided an interactive platform for stakeholders, SMEs, researchers, and policymakers to:

• Explore ABBA’s objectives and planned activities

• Exchange knowledge and experiences

• Discuss key challenges and opportunities within blue economy sectors

Through dialogue, collaboration, and innovation-driven discussions, participants reinforced the shared commitment to sustainable growth and regional cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian area.
