NEWS: 1st Partners’ Meeting in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

The “First Partners’ Meeting” of the ABBA – Adriatic-Ionian Alliance for Sustainable Blue Economy project took place in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on March 11-12, 2025. This two-day meeting focused on reviewing the project’s progress, discussing key strategies to advance the sustainable blue economy in the Adriatic-Ionian region, and planning the next steps to achieve the project’ objectives.

The meeting began with an overview of the Alliance’s development and progress across partner countries. This was followed by discussions on the pilot phase, with a focus on outlining plans and strategies to maximize the project’s impact. Afternoon sessions addressed communication strategies, financial management, and internal coordination, with an emphasis on improving reporting procedures.

On the second day, the partners reviewed management structures, reporting guidelines, and the action plan for the upcoming period. This meeting successfully set the stage for continued collaboration toward the project’s goals of promoting a sustainable blue economy in the Adriatic-Ionian region.
