Blue Excellence Hub Montenegro Officially Launched at STP MNE

On February 28, 2025, the Launching Event and Open Day of the Blue Excellence Hub Montenegro were successfully held at the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, as part of the ABBA project. The event gathered stakeholders from academia, business, government, and civil society to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem and promote sustainable blue growth through advanced technologies.

The event included the official presentation of the Hub’s goals and key activities, an announcement of the upcoming open call for deep-tech innovators, and an open discussion on future cooperation opportunities. Despite lower attendance due to geographic challenges, representatives from all quadruple helix sectors participated, signaling a strong foundation for future activities.

Key discussions emphasized the need for coordinated efforts within the blue economy and identified opportunities for support through future Innovation Fund programs. Moving forward, the Hub plans to organize regular coordination meetings and intensify collaboration with coastal stakeholders to enhance engagement.

The Launching Event marked the beginning of a dynamic new chapter for Montenegro’s blue economy, fostering innovation, partnerships, and sustainable development.
